Where to buy food in near Germany (which is cheaper than in Switzerland, especially if you buy meat, alcohol or hygiene products). Best place for bio food is ALNATURA, also good quality is at REWE and really cheap, but not so many bio products you get at LIDL. For hygiene products MÜLLER is great. You find these shops all in Gottmadingen, just 11 car minutes away:
And if you don't want to cook yourself or drive around to go out eating, you find just 70 meters from our Chalet the restaurant Hirschen in Ramsen, that serves Swiss food indoor and outdoor and they also have vegetarian meals.
Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

If you are here with your car, we know the cheapest gas station in this area. You will find the best price for your fuel in near Germany. The AVIA gas station in Bietingen, just 11 car minutes away.
A great thing to do in Ramsen:
Take a ride on the "Schienenvelo" (rail bike).
The railway line can also be travelled using muscle power. A ride on a rail bike is an unforgettable experience. At the starting point, Ramsen train station, there are five modern rail bikes available for hire for a maximum of 4 or 5 people.

This is the nearest Swiss skiing area. It's not the Matterhorn, but you have a 13 ski-lifts and 22 ski slopes.
So quite a lot of skiing possibilities.
71 minutes by car.
Not as high in the mountains as in Switzerland, but a nice small skiing area and since it is in Germany, it's less expensive than skiing in Switzerland. Perfect for beginners.
